Thanks for the comparison. I own the MKE 600 and I was wondering what the difference would be. You're right it definitely picks up a lot more background noise.

There is a new firmware update 3.01 as of 1 week ago, I 've just seen it. Maybe it resolves some issues like network and iso in raw. But I advise everyone to take a before and after videos as proof, because in countless emails, sony didn't admit that its a firmware issue, but our camera's are broken they said.

Mke 600 sounds better to me. It is an excellent mic for audio for film. The 600 is more sensitive. Making sounds is not background sounds. The 50 sounds very flat and muffled,

Thanks for sharing. The 600 sounds better to me. The sound has good body, whilst still capturing the detail and clarity. At the end of the day, they are different tools for slightly different jobs, so in an ideal scenario one would have a condenser and shotgun mic.

I'm curious to know if your camera has issues with the Bluetooth connectivity to lets say the Sony App or a DJI Ronin S3 or S3Pro? (after the 3.0 update)

The Heil PR40 is far more articulate with lows, mids, and highs well represented. The Shure is full of lows and not much else. I guess if you want to sound like you have a low deep voice with no mids or highs the Shure is the way to go. It sounds very flat.

The MKE600 sounds 100% better to me. The MKH50 sounds terribly muffled ... Maybe a UA-cam compression thing???

not just for camera for hdmi you can capture xbox series x or switch or ps5 i use it for my xbox series and my ps5 i use for my elgato 4k 60 pro mk2 ya is underutilizing this device allot of people i see say you can only do cameras for the capture cards oh lord nope oh do 1080p 60 because there a bug with 4k 30 for allot of devices i returned 2 of those it just a problem for all streamer x injeneral . i dont do a podcast i do lets plays

OMG most of what's you said is just not true. You don't even know what a shotgun mic is... I don't think upgrading can help you in any way unless really want to believe it. It is definitely louder with the new mic lol. bTW congrats for the purchase, it's an amazing mic.

i prefer the slim in my opinion. only if it has no disc. if it has a disk i think i'd prefer the original. however if it was virtual buy. i think i would go for the slim

tips to get more views: color grade your videos properly add relaxing background music add infographics to make the video more engaging add B roll shots of the consoles while you talk about them (like dave2d does) make a bullet point of stuff to take about in your script, then talk about them in order, and add timestamps in youtube. frame your videos better, your forehead is cut off by the camera remove background noise (i can hear your AC, just remove it in an editing program) other than that nice video hope you get more vies in the future

Did you have the inputs reversed on your RODE Caster? The MKH 50 sounds terrible compared to the MKE 600 (imo), but in a way that doesn't exactly make sense. There's also just a lot of strange stuff going on sonically. At 2:22 you take the windscreen off of the MKH50 while you say you are on the MKE 600, but we get an incredibly loud friction sound. Shotguns are supposed to have fantastic side rejection, so I really don't understand how the MKE 600 would have picked that sound up so sensitively. It really sounds like you are making contact with the mic that's getting signal (the MKH 50). Then, not long after 2:57 you talk into the MKH 50 while still supposedly being on the MKE 600, and signal somehow sounds hotter and more trebly. Because of the side rejection on shotguns mics (the MKE 600) they are also supposed to be very directional, so you being so far off axis and getting a hotter signal with more defined high frequency doesn't seem right. Another potential tell (that's more subtle) is that when you say you are on the MKH 50 and you look towards the MKE 600 it sounds slightly better/louder, you do this most notably at 4:01. This gives me the impression that you are getting more on axis with the narrow pickup pattern of a shotgun style mic (the MKH 600). I could be wrong, and maybe I just don't understand the MKE 600, but to me the MKH 50 really shouldn't sound that bad.

I often have to take Curtis Judd’s word for it on which microphone sounds better, but this time the difference seems dramatic. That was a good advertisement for this microphone

MKE600 has exaggerated highs, and I usually EQ it down to get it to sound more balanced like MKH50. I'm very surprised to hear people in the comments saying they prefer MKE600 sound!

i did the mistake to purchase audio technica ath m50bt2 and now i 'm really considering to return them ... after one hour of continue use it gives you a headache and ears really hurt from the pressure it exerts over them ... i was intending to use them with computer but they become really really uncomfortable to the point you need to take them off and take a break from the pain ... i had used before the audio technica ath m50 coiled wired version which i used them for more than 8 years but i don't remember them to be so uncomfortable ! this bt2 are atrocious after 1 hour of continue use !

I like how the Heil PR40 sounded on your voice and didn't find it to be "tinny" at all. The SM7B seemed a bit muddy for my taste. You don't need the shock mount as long as you don't keep grabbing your microphone. The price of the BSW REPOP is insane for a pop filter and I realized that just by having good placement with the PR40 (put it off-axis, to the side!) and talking across it takes care of the -plosives problem. Thanks for the video.

We had a 1st gen Echo in our master bathroom for listening to music in the morning ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxABghAEkaIDGZfHRBH3D3rBrlraNmnC71 and while in the shower. I didn't realize how tinny and awful the sound output on the original Echo was until we replaced it with the Studio. It was a sonic upgrade far beyond what I was expecting. Just wow. I love it because it's like having speakers IN the shower. My friend likes it because the music is so loud that she can no longer hear me singing. So that's a win-win.
